Power Service Engineer Job in Las Vegas 89113, Nevada Us

Responsibilities: Manage and execute projects including but not limited to trouble shooting system failures, testing new and existing installations, commissioning new systems, development and execution of periodic maintenance programs. Work will be performed on power and energy systems to include: power generators, breakers, protection relays, switchgear controls, UPS, and transformers.

Troubleshoot equipment to the defective subassembly and down to root cause level. Understanding of power theory and generator theory. Establish, promote, and maintain strong rapport with customers through good communication and personal working relationship. Develope further business through existing clients and client referrals. 

CPC is a project based company. This means work schedules will vary depending on the circumstances of the project being supported. Some work will be local, but the majority of the projects will last 2 – 8 weeks and require travel to the customer’s site to conduct work. This is approximately a 50% travel position and will require extended working hours. 

Requirements: A technical background in the electronic or electrical field. In-depth knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, power control systems, and electrical system troubleshooting. UPS and Data system experience or utility generation experience is a definite plus. Be adept at reading diagrams and prints and possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with customers. You must have a valid state driver’s license with no major legal/traffic infractions. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.


Keys to success: CPC is looking for a responsible individual who can work well with customers, resolve service issues, and have a strong Electrical background. If you do not have Electrical and Power Distribution experience, you must be able to demonstrate advanced electronic and controls experience. You will be required to pass a credit, criminal background check, personality evaluation, and drug screen.
