Power Trading Support Analyst recruitment
This is a Front Office role which requires strong technical modelling skills as well as strong communication skills. It will involve Tool and Model Building as well as model maintainance and model validation and back testing. You will need to understand the reqiuirements of the Traders and then act accordingly to deliver these requirements. You will have responsibility for maintaining fundamental forecast models as well as collecting data relevant to the European electricity markets.
You will ideally have some knowledge of the UK and European Electricity markets along with strong programming and modelling skills in VB/VBA and or Matlab. You should have excellent Excel skills and ideally some C++ experience. You should also be used to data manipulation. A computer science, engineering, maths or finance degree would be ideal.
You should have excellent communication skills as well as being able to work in a fast paced environment where you need to be proactive and efficient. You should be able to work as part of a team as well as on your own.
