The Company has developed the Portable People Meter ™ (PPM™) and the PPM 360™, new technologies for media and marketing research.
Arbitron’s headquarters and its world-renowned research and engineering organizations are located in Columbia, Maryland.
We are looking for a PPM Product Analyst, to join our PPM Product Management team in Columbia, MD.
Primary Duties:
- Apply analytic techniques to survey and audience data to respond to customer questions and create "stories" from the data.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate existing and potential product/service anomalies or enhancements for customers.
- Utilize established mathematical/analytical techniques to compile and analyze data.
- Use BI Tool, SAS and Microsoft Access and other tabulation/query tools for data analyses.
- Perform quality assurance checks to verify data and or reports are correct.
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans and cases to support changes to reports and products.
- Understand and apply knowledge and application of Product Life Cycle.
- Provide service to executive level professional customers (General Managers, Program Directors, Directors, VPs, etc.) in order to increase customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with customer to obtain market information to analyze business needs.
- Writes technical and business correspondence/reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.
- Prepare/deliver presentations and lead/moderate discussions for both internal and external customers.
Experience/Requirements:
- 4 year degree in market research, statistical analysis or related fields.
- 3-5 years professional level experience in audience measurement radio or television research, advertising or market research.
- 3-5 years experience interacting with and servicing customers.
- Experience with statistical tools/concepts, database report query development and business intelligence tools, is preferred.
- Proficient with Access, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
