PR/ Communications Manager – DACH region (m/f)
This position shapes, manages and implements Citrix Online's thought leadership and analyst relations strategies, which communicate and amplify a favorable public image aligned to the company's business goals. This includes helping influence sales and building awareness and demand for its leadership to key external constituents, including journalists, industry analysts and influencers affiliated with key leadership initiatives, technology trends, small business and assigned vertical markets within the EMEA DACH Region.
Principal Responsibilities
· Develops the annual strategic business plan and analysis for internal and external thought leadership initiatives associated with experts, technology trends, small business and assigned vertical industry associations and strategically develops and manages the results of these initiatives
· Makes recommendations on retaining research firms for strategic counsel, including negotiating the contracts and budget management
· Closely colaborates with senior management, cross-functional teams and the communication teams to align goals and deliver measurable results;
· Manages quaterly budget and resource requirement planning and analysis
· Secures high level awards to build leadership for Citrix Online, including press releases as appropriate, interviews with media and other influentials
· Develops and oversees the Citrix Online’s industry analyst program
· Manages the support of new product launches in the DACH Region – working closely with the EMEA Communications Director
· Performs ongoing strategic communication and drives analysis and reporting of trends and benchmarks (surveys, Magic Quadrants, etc.) to senior executives
· Oversees cross-functional internal teams on analyst relations and manages cross-functional communications with the Citrix Systems communications and the analyst relations team
· Provides news analysis and distribution of key information to internal teams
· Directs the development of articles and white papers on key strategic themes, places content in top business and trade media; prepares pitches, story abstracts and interviews for Citrix Online executives – working with the in region PR Agency and the EMEA Communications Director
· Stays abreast of new media trends and makes recommendations on how they can be applied to Citrix Online programs; maintains contact and relationships with key bloggers
· Works with Voice of the Customer team to identify customer targets for developing leadership stories that position Citrix Online as a thought leader tied to key themes
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
· 6+ years experience in a related field, such as Public Relations or marketing communications
· Proven track record of success developing leadership platforms/speakers bureau and in managing research analyst programs
· Experience in corporate communications, Public Relations and marketing or high technology is a plus
· Excellent judgment and analytical skills to effectively make recommendations to senior staff
· Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, changing priorities and tight deadlines
· Excellent verbal communications skills and experience in effectively articulating company positions with analysts, press and company executives
· Experience interacting with senior management on matters relating to business issues
· A team-player personality with a high level of authenticity, strong strategic thinking abilities, an independent, highly structured and solution-oriented working-style and the willingness to take over responsibility
