HAYS HAVE AN EXCITING DENTAL PRACTICE MANAGER ROLE!

Dental Practice manager, MOD Leconfield, Hull ( NHS band 6 equivalent)

Hays healthcare are a main contracted supplier of temporary locum staff to the MOD.  We have a role for a dental practice manager, which is almost a unique requirement for locum staffing.  Will you be the right candidate for this rare opportunity?

This role is required to begin 24th March 2014 through until Late Sept 2014. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week. Candidates must have an existing in date CRB/DBS.

The responsibilities are as follows:

To provide the Senior Dental Officer and other clinical staff with administrative support and assistance as required.The Practice Manager is accountable to the Senior Dental Officer. They will work independently in accordance to with DDS SOPs, SG PSD and other relevant guidelines

Comply with DDS policy on working hours. Oversee and manage all aspects of hygiene and cleanliness of the building and its surround areas.Liaise with local commanders to ensure periods of force generation are effectively managed to maximise the number of personnel who are dentally fit for deployment. Liaise with units to minimise failure to attend dental appointments.Act as the departmental focal point for all security matters including IT security, ensuring all dental staff maintain full security awareness at all times. Act as the dental centre representative on any Unit Health Committees as required. Co-ordinate staff to provide cover for Local Administration Unit tasking. Liaise with appropriate bodies to create call-out plans and determine roles for Dental Centre personnel during exercises or emergency situations Be responsible for ensuring adequate stock levels and rotation of items. Be responsible for the demand, issue, receipt and control of Medical and Dental equipment. Be the holder of the Dental Centre Barrack Inventory and custodian of the Dental Centre Technical Inventory.  Liaise with other sections to schedule inspections and monthly electrical checks. Ensure daily pre-work checks are carried out and recorded on the MOD Form 373 by surgery staff. Ensure the supervision, discipline and efficiency of Dental Care Professionals (DCPs) under their line management authority. Be responsible for the welfare of those under their authority and is to be the primary focus for dealing with staff issues. Identify, plan, arrange, supervise and monitor the training and development requirements of all staff under.
