Practice Nurse Band 6 MoD
Hays is working with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to recruit experienced Practice Nurse at Band 6 level to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary primary healthcare team delivering general medical services and elements of occupational health to military personnel at Deepcut Medical Centre, The Princess Royal Barracks, Surrey.
To Start: asap – 01.08.015
Hours: 34.5 hours p/w
• You must be registered with the NMC and hold a valid PIN.
• One year’s satisfactory previous experience at Band 6.
• Minimum of two to three years post registration experience in Primary Health Care practice.
• Experienced and competent in Immunisation, Venepuncture, Audiology.
• Patient Group Directive (PGDs) in a related Community Health discipline or portfolio evidence of equivalent experience.
Desirable Experience in relevant areas:
Occupational Health Nursing (OHN), clinical supervision, Supporting Learning and Assessment in Practice (or equivalent), Travel Medicine, Cervical Cytology, Asthma Diploma, Chronic Disease management - diabetes and asthma, etc.
Competence in audiometry, smoking cessation, ear syringing and vaccination.
Well Woman and family planning clinics.
