Practice Support Manager Job in Philadelphia 19103, Pennsylvania US

Ballard Spahr LLP seeks an experienced professional to manage all aspects of legal secretarial support in our Philadelphia office ensuring the delivery of effective, efficient and high quality support provided to our lawyers.

  

The Manager of Practice Support will evaluate staffing needs and workloads across departments and practices and recommend staffing changes as needed; identify training needs and develop and implement training programs in collaboration with the firm’s training team; implement the annual performance management/evaluation program; ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of legal administrative assistant (legal secretary) teams that provide support to assigned lawyers; be an advocate for our legal administrative assistants; and analyze financial activities and provide input into budget planning and preparation processes.

  

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years of law firm supervisory experience; possess strong leadership, negotiation, problem solving and interpersonal skills; and be an effective communicator with excellent speaking and writing skills.
