Synopsis
A Pre-departure Specialist on the sales support team will be responsible for working with Group Leaders prior to their departure on tour. They will play an essential role in delivering great customer service to the group and will work with other Smithsonian departments to ensure a quality experience prior to and on tour.
The Role
- Work closely with the Territory Managers to ensure strong support system for Group Leaders
- Communicate with Group Leaders prior to their departure
- Deliver tour details to Group Leader such as flight arrangements, hotels final itineraries
- Liaise with Programs Coordination/Flights/Operations on logistics of tour
- Follow up with Group Leaders regarding pertinent tour information including balances, rebooking, Group Leaders profiles.
Requirements
o Bachelors Degree
o 1-2 years professional experience preferred
o Strong customer service communication skills
o Solution-oriented attitude
o Excellent time management and organizational skills
o Ability to problem solve
o Strong understanding of logistics of our tours and policies
