Pre-MBA Private Equity Associate recruitment

The Associate will be a founding contributor to the fund’s new direct sourcing program and will have the opportunity to generate investment leads to review and execute alongside senior members of the investment team. It is anticipated that the time allocation between sourcing and execution will be more weighted towards sourcing during the early part of the Associate’s tenure and transition to execution as leads are generated. The Associate will be a member of a 3-person class that will start in August 2012 and will be expected to commit to a minimum 2 year program.

Successful Associate candidates will possess the following attributes:

• Outgoing and competitive personality

• High level of self-motivation, initiative and maturity

• Efficient time management skills; well organized

• Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities

• 1-3 years of experience at a middle market or bulge bracket investment bank

• Exposure to energy, real estate and/or general MA a plus

• Strong GPA from a top college or university

• Demonstrated leadership ability as evidenced by participation in college athletics, serving as a member of student government or other extra-curricular achievements

• Ties to the Bay Area or Northern California is a plus
