As a Lead Pre-Sales Consultant, you will…
- Be a solution expert for Market Risk Analytics as it pertains to the Buy-side verticals (Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Pension Funds and Insurance firms).
- Support the product functional and implementation-specific aspects of the bidding strategy as well as assisting with responses to RFIs. Preparation of proposals and presenting solutions to clients.
- Participate in ‘proof of concept’ workshops and pilots with clients.
- Work with the different buy-side business lines to help identify new market trends and related functional requirements, define the market selling propositions, key product messages and differentiators.
- Work closely with the sales team to meet and exceed company revenue targets: prospects and solution qualification, content and product expert.
- Be responsible for ensuring proposed solutions are achievable, profitable and realistic given client requirements.
- Capture customer requirements, advise and assist the implementation teams in the project scope.
- Ensure that relevant information from each presales engagement is fed back to the Business Lines to be used in product management decision
- Be accountable for the effective use of resources to aid the effectiveness of sales engagements and effective management of pre-sales process and budgets.
- Be willing to travel.
Qualifications
- Able to demonstrate a strong risk management background, with solid experience in the industry or similar organization.
- A professional background within buy side organisations (eg. Investment Management, Hedge Funds, Wealth Management, Portfolio Management, Asset management companies etc)
- A strong understanding of the practical applications of one or more of the following: Market Risk, Asset Liability Management Credit Exposure and Counterparty Credit Risk Management, Regulatory and Economic Capital as it applies to buy side institutions.
- Degree or equivalent level qualification in Mathematics, Physics or Finance
- Strong commercial awareness, excellent client facing and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written English and strong presentation/communication skills essential
- Fluency in German is key.
