Alexander Black Recruitment is looking for a pre-sales consultant to join a world leading application optimisation company based in Maidenhead.

DUTIES
- Build and maintain technical relationships within assigned customer accounts
- Become a trusted advisor within the accounts by understanding existing and future IT roadmaps;
- Educate customers as to how application optimisation products can be utilised to meet their goals
- Assist the sales teams by supporting business development strategies within the accounts
- Present the company’s solutions at customer and industry events
- Ensure that all technical queries are acted upon and resolved in a timely manner by coordinating with the company’s Post-Sales support team
- Conduct regular customer reviews and feedback sessions
- Conduct all sales-related pre-sales activities within assigned accounts
- Support a variety of pre-sales activities within further accounts, as and when required
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Proven presales experience.
- Ability to relate to the customer at different levels (technicians/ Service and Operation managers/ C-level Executives) and to always find a proactive solution that can convert to sales.
- In-depth industry knowledge of enterprise customer environments
- Market knowledge and experience of Infrastructure Monitoring and Management
- Good knowledge of internet architecture and e-commerce applications.
- Good knowledge of how applications centralised in Datacentres are delivered over a network to the end users device. In particular, communication through the Web browser, Citrix environments, Thin Clients and virtualised desktops.
- Good knowledge of the main Networks protocols and architectures of network devices (ie. Switches, routers, firewalls, reverse proxies, load balancers, WAN accelerators/optimisation).
- Some experience and knowledge of the following applications is desirable: SAP, IBM Websphere, Siebel, Oracle Applications, Oracle Forms and Microsoft Exchange.
- Some experience and knowledge of database systems is desirable: IBM DB2, MSSQL, Oracle etc.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management and Business Service Management processes
- ITIL and/or ISO 20000 qualification preferable
- Previous involvement in IT Service Management software deployments
