Pre-sales consultant is required by an award winning provider of back office, client reporting solutions to the buy side (asset management, investment management) sector. My client is based in the City of London and is recruiting on the back of a successful year in 2012.
My client product suite has recently won a string of technology awards and they are continuing to expand in 2013. You will join a small team in London to support the sales and professional services teams by supplying technical expertise to support the sales process.
The role will require you to fulfil the following responsibilities:
* Respond to RFI and RFPs
* Provide technical demonstrations to prospective clients
* Work on client site delivering workshops to promote the benefits of the product from a technical perspective
* Maintain a detailed FAQ and supply technical information for the sales teams where required

Their system is widely considered as one of the market's leading solutions for buy side client reporting and you will become an expert in the solution and a valuable member of this specialised team.
To be considered for this role you must have the follow skills and experience:
* Have come from a financial service background and have worked with asset management or investment management clients
* A background in pre-sales (presales), technical support or technical consulting
* Have extensive experience or client reporting
* Good knowledge of client reporting solutions such as Business Objects, Cognos, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services etc
* Excellent SQL skills with the ability to write stored procedures
* First class client facing ability
