Pre-Sales Engineer (CAD / AutoDesk) Job in Herndon 20171, Virginia US
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will be responsible for being the expert's expert on Autodesk products suites and offerings. This position will include design and architecture of such products. The Systems Engineer will provide critical pre-sales support to DLT customers and prospects as a subject matter expert in CAD environments. Support includes demoing software, presenting to team and customer, providing high level overviews of CAD workflow and doing proof of concepts at remotely and at customer locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as product subject matter expert in Autodesk solutions
• Strong AEC related technical skills to include CAD, CAFM, etc
• Assist sales team with pre-sales engineering activities to include demo, proof of concepts, and meetings
• Design environments and recommendations for Autodesk requirements
• Define installation processes, configuration, and policies for customers when needed for demoing and design documentation
• Assess current processes of pre-sales engagement with the Autodesk sales team
• Define opportunities and outline pre-sales engagements
• Assess team's current offering to identify future demos and proof of concepts
• Participate marketing events as DLT’s Subject Matter Expert
REQUIRED SKILLS
• 5 years experience in CAD, CAFM applications. Recent experience preferred.
• Experience with other Autodesk products a plus
• In-depth knowledge of CAD, CAFM – preferably with public sector
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Ability to articulate technical details to technical and non-technical individuals
• Must possess superior customer service skills and ability to manage conflict
