Our client is growing and looking to add a Pre-Sales Engineer to work on and deliver key Finance, Accounting, Royalty and Sub-ledger data centric projects within their Tier 1 clients in the UK, USA and Globally.   This is an unique opportunity to join a world class organization that is adept at delivering enterprise class solutions to their clients and prospects using their high performance Business Process, Integration, Rules Services Platform for composite applications.

The ideal candidate would have a Consulting type background and understand the data behind software transactions.  (i.e. what features and options should be available in a software application to make life easier for the people who actually close the books each month.) You should also possess highly developed analytic, interpersonal and communication skills that enables you to develop relationships with our client's key decision makers and to understand and address their issues.  This is a blended role that would be perfect for someone who is comfortable as the liason between sales, the customer, and engineers. 

Technical skills:
 Business analysis
 Alignment of functional and technical design
 Estimation and planning of projects
 Build of demos and proof of concepts
 Data integration experience using an ETL or BPM platform would be beneficial
 Database skills: Teradata, Oracle and their associated scripts
 Solid experience in Accounting / General Ledger ERP systems, with an understanding of Financial Instruments / Products would be a distinct advantage but not necessary.
 A business related graduate qualification or equivalent professional certification and an accounting qualification.
 Excellent PowerPoint skills.

 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
 Demonstrable experience in enterprise wide projects; able to engage with senior level executives such as CFOs, Global Treasurers, and Finance Directors
 Has presence and credibility and is able to gain the buy-in of a diverse community of business stakeholders, technology teams, peers, project managers, and external partners
 Excellent written English skills
 Self starter, resourceful and self motivated
 Excellent presentation and client facing skills
 Technically minded
 Commercially astute
 Highly intelligent, creative and innovative, but with the discipline and hands-on approach and personal drive to achieve practical results

  Client is based in Boston but must be open to travel both in the US and Europe.  This is a permanent, full time position that offers excellent base + bonus and benefits.
