Pre Sales Engineer Manager recruitment
Our client, a tier 1 storage vendor and leading provider of data management solutions is looking for a Presales Engineer Manager to be responsible for leading and managing a team of talented, skilled and motivated Systems Engineers. This is a highly influential role, working closely with sales and professional services leadership to enable the team to position the company technology and articulate their business value in a compelling way to customers and partners. Potential candidates must be results driven, customer focused, technically knowledgeable, and skilled at building internal relationships and external partnerships.
The overall responsibilities of the Presales Manager are to provide leadership, guidance and career development for members of the team, as well as working closely with all other sales, Engineering and Professional Services organisations to ensure a co-ordinated approach to sales and account development.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
- Day to day interaction with team of re sales engineers, to ensure they are productive and focused on the right activities and opportunities
- Work with channel development, channel marketing and sales functions to develop and execute a co-ordinated approach to partner engagement in sales opportunities
- Delivering Strategic messaging to customers, prospects and partners
- Resolve resource conflicts, align resources appropriately
- Set and monitor progress towards subordinate development objectives
- Build and support personal development plans with individual team member
- Manage performance of the team and individuals appropriately
Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions.
- Must have an aptitude for understanding and articulating how technology, products and solutions can be applied to solve business problems.
- Must have a good understanding of all aspects of storage and data management market
- Ability to build relationships and exercise influence with individuals in external organisations.
