Pre Sales Order Manager recruitment
Key Responsibilities
- Management of internal and external suppliers to deliver and install customer site equipment on schedule, and
- Set and manage the customer’s expectations with regard to installations
- Produce access circuit quotes for assigned countries to sales organizations in a timely manner – budgetary quote within 2 working days and FIRM quote according to the company delivery process timelines.
- Produce an implementation schedule that sets customer expectations in accord with internal and external vendor delivery capabilities
- Drive, coordinate (and escalate where appropriate) all team resources to meet implementation commitments. The key objective of this activity is to minimise the time between incurring costs and delivering a revenue service. – i.e., minimize the time between access circuit delivery and port RFU.
- Ensure that all orderable items are submitted correctly in the ordering systems (with all the necessary documents (e.g. technical and commercial approvals)
- Provide regular order updates for the selling entities to view status and Expected RFU. In addition, any anomalies in this process need to be flagged to the selling entity’s Project/order manager to determine proper actions as well as provide transparency
- Ensure that all billable items are correctly captured for all services delivered in the order management systems
- Ensure that completed order elements are transitioned into life-cycle operations as efficiently and effectively as possible and that the elements are in place to support required levels of service
- Register and resolve (in conjunction with the Technical Manager) any operational issues that occur during the RFU process. The objective of this activity is to ensure that sites are RFUed according to the specifications
- Review and evaluate selected suppliers (e.g., local loop, routers, etc.) to ensure delivery against commitments. Initiate actions as appropriate to address any deficiencies or inefficiencies
- Identify and document process improvements arising from customer implementation experiences by country and by vendor. This scope of this activity includes efficiency, effectiveness as well as productivity improvements
- Liaise with counterpart OMs in order to ensure global consistency in service delivery
- Liaise with the Technical Manager to provide additional access methodologies when these technologies become available on the Infrastructure (e.g. xDSL access, Ethernet, etc).
- Keep up to date in business and technical developments/requirements and ensure that relevant areas within local management are aware of this information.
Qualifications
- Outstanding communicator in English language, both written and oral
- Have 5+ years experience in an indirect channels working environment
- 4 years experience in sales operation roles, proven track record.
- 4 years of working experience with Multinational and complex organizational environments
- An international multicultural approach, ability to work in a global environment
- Solid background in quotation and ordering processes and ability to translate technical requests into orderable elements
- Flexible working hours due to the international business character – e.g. conference calls into the evening due to time difference with other regions.
- Well organized and efficient, able to report accurately and meet deadlines
- Able to work independently without close supervision
