We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Premium Specialist in our Owings Mills, MD office.
Position Summary: Investigate inquiries from the field office, policy centers, and insurance carriers ensuring timely and accurate responses utilizing analytical expertise.
Reports to Premium Accounting Connection Team Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary point of contact for communication with:
Field offices and Insurance carriers as related to premium insurance accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely response to all incoming requests for service
- Complete Service Request after thorough detailed account analysis and research
- Provide innovative and creative solutions to complex issues
- Serve as an Insurance Carrier Captain interfacing with assigned insurance carrier(s) on any/all issues as necessary
- Insurance Carrier Captain duties include, but not limited to:
- Develop relationship with key contacts to ensure strong working partnership
- Document and coordinate any specific tasks unique to a carrier
- Coordinate regularly scheduled conference calls with carrier
- Identify and communicate process improvements to Carrier Relations department
- Insurance Carrier Captain duties include, but not limited to:
- Perform duties with heightened sense of urgency
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 years of related work experience, with 2-3 years of insurance experience preferred
- An understanding of entry level accounting
