Presales Engineer / Solution Architect (Intel & Storage focus) Job in Cincinnati 45201, Ohio Us
Champion Solutions Group, an IT Solutions provider with over 30 years experience in the marketplace, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Solution Architect.
The Solution Architect is a presales engineer providing technical support to 3 - 4 outside sales representatives in a geographic area to assist Champion's sales efforts. He/she is responsible for the following:
- Provide thought leadership as it pertains to the technical aspects of proposed IT solutions for each individual customer.
- Analyze the customer environment, discover and diagnose an IT or business problem.
- Conduct product solution presentations to customers.
- Work with the product specialist team to create detailed configurations.
- Provide solution recommendations to customers via white board presentations, conference calls, and webinars.
- Develop relationships with customers and vendors to better understand customer needs and expand the reach of possible solutions.
Travel within the assigned sales region is required to visit customer sites. Typical travel does not exceed a 120 mile radius, and does not require overnight stays.
The Solution Architect must have:
- The ability to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear and concise language.
- Experience in multiple Hardware and Software environments and be comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments.
- Multi-tasking capabilities to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical ability to decide which technology to use in a given environment.
Required technical experience for this Solution Architect:
- Strong background in Windows/ Intel (IBM and/or HP) and mid tier storage (NetApp or DS4000 or Clarrion)
