Your tasks
To set-up, operate, and maintain the press and auxiliary equipment related to the press to ensure a quality product. To act as backup for other Print Services positions and/or assist Master Press Operator with directing the activities of press crew with assigned tasks during makeready, running, and downtime. To assist and train other Print Services employees as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Makeready and operates press based upon written instructions provided.
2. Establishes and maintains color and mechanical quality to BPC standards.
3. Continuously inspects product during production for compliance with BPC quality standards and approves or rejects as appropriate.
4. Direct and coordinate activities of assigned crew members.
5. Completes all required documentation (electronic paper) in a thorough and accurate manner.
6. Completes required general maintenance and lubrication assignments.
7. Perform duties of other Print Service manufacturing positions as needed following requisite training.

Our requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

- Ability to stand and walk for 12 hours shifts on production floor throughout the work schedule. Ability to repetitively lift, carry, lower and manipulate up to 20 pound stacks of signatures when assisting joggers. Occasionally requires bending/squatting, climbing to a height of 25 feet and/or in confined spaces, reaches above shoulder level, and/or kneels. Frequently lifting and/or carrying up to 34 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Requires ability to have repetitive use of hands through simple grasping. Continuous exposure to moving machinery and moving mechanical parts, along with continuous exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes and/or gases. Exposure to loud levels of noise where hearing protection is required.

- Ability to work irregular schedules, including rotating day/night shifts.

- Ability to work overtime as mandated by production needs.

- Ability to maintain close attention to detail for extended time periods.
- Strong organizational abilities.

- Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.

- Knowledge of offset lithography.
