Role Synopsis
Offshore Field Supervisors Cementing Services are the primary contact between BHI and the Customer representative at a well drilling location. Their responsibility includes determining when the customer will be ready for the next job, delivering equipment to the drilling location, calculating the job volume and making recommendations about materials and equipment.
The Field Supervisor is responsible is responsible for overseeing the entire operation and making sure that all the companies standards are met by the service supervisor during the execution of an operation.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Field Supervisors must use specific knowledge relating to cementing services and processes to maintain a productive, efficient, and safety worksite on client’s well drilling location.
- Must be able to calculate related job parameters, including pressures required, materials, equipment demand and capability.
- Must make recommend with regard to pumping options, equipment requirements, job design and execution.
- Should be able to perform manual tasks required such as loading heads, dropping plugs, connecting hoses and iron, and be familiar with drilling operations and drilling rigs to be able to complete required tasks unassisted.
- Schedules, coordinates, and assists in conducting safety meetings for all district personnel.
- Conducts facility and job inspections and ensures corrective actions are taken to correct substandard conditions.
- Investigates all accidents and ensures that BHI procedures regarding accident reporting and investigation are followed.
Experience and Skills required
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum education requires a HS diploma, specific training and knowledge in the areas of Decimal book training, Cementing/Fracturing/CT, etc.
- Courses pertaining to Product knowledge, equipment operations knowledge, and hands on training and expertise in appropriate discipline.
- Ability and desire to work on 24/7 call out for 14days on and 7 off, based out of Houma, LA.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
· Minimum 5 yrs Experience in roles providing Offshore Cementing Services or Fracturing at a level which requires use of decimal book on regular basis.
· Supervisory or leadership position in similar role.
