Supports management, sales, plant staff, and other administrative areas by providing timely and accurate financial projections, price quotations, contracts, and profit analyses.
Responsibilities
The primary function of this role is to generate customer pricing for mail consolidation and freight management upon taking into consideration internal and external factors that effect market competitiveness and company profitability. Other functions include entering new pricing and pricing changes into appropriate computer systems, working with various internal departments, meeting deadlines and maintaining reports.
- Respond to multiple Requests for Information/Quotes/Proposals
- Communicates with sales, customer service, billing, and other internal departments to respond to customer requests, ensure most effective pricing and invoicing.
- Consults with operations, planning and other internal departments regarding the most cost efficient means to manage the customer’s distribution needs.
- Conducts ad hoc financial analyses to assess historical customer distribution data and make recommendations to sales and management regarding opportunities to adjust the current distribution solution to improve costs for both the customer and the company.
- Works with internal departments to analyze non-profitable accounts to determine solutions to improve profitability.
- Creates and updates tariffs and enters required information into the appropriate computer system. Communicates changes to appropriate departments within the organization.
- Provides ad hoc queries and data as requested to support the business.
- Leads and participates with team members on various process improvement projects.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
