This position's responsibilities are to monitor, analyse, research and maintain large amounts of financial market information on a daily basis to enable the daily valuation of European structured securities through Standard and Poor's Securities Evaluations (SPSE) internal pricing systems.
Essential Accountabilities:
The candidate will be required to carry out research on the European structured finance markets using established tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, ABSxchange and Intex. Trade and market price information will need to be interpreted to enable the maintenance of spread, speed, collateral and performance information on a defined universe of securities.
- Client interaction in both the pre and post sales phase will be required as well as daily contact with internal, external market participants and clients.
- Supervision and training of junior team members.
- Daily liaison with colleagues in New York and London.
- The position will be a key driver for the growth and maintenance of the European structured finance product. The candidate will also have input into the way the markets covered will be set up and run.
Skills
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Specific knowledge and or experience of the European structured finance market is essential.
- Degree educated in finance or business
- Computer literate with an excellent knowledge of Excel and Access.
- Demonstrable time management skill.
