Pricing and Electronic Liquidity Development Lead (VP) – Singapore based recruitment
Our client is a leading global financial institution with an extensive reach across Asia, with a regional presence in 11 Asian countries. The regional trading hubs are in - Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia, demonstrating substantial resources in Asia.
The Pricing Electronic Liquidity (PEL) team is a cross-business utility function that builds, supports and enhances systems for real-time algorithmic pricing, electronic trading and algorithmic liquidity management. The Pricing Electronic Liquidity team is also responsible for the Centralised Pricing bond trading system (used by Delta Rates, Credit and Emerging Markets). This includes a bond trade store and associated trade blotters, trade entry screens, real time risk and PL functionality, as well as downstream feeds of bond static, bond trades, bond closes, bond risk and bond valuations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all PEL related projects in Singapore, and track through to completion.
- Full responsibility and accountability for project plans, budgets and headcount across all PEL Singapore initiatives.
- Monitor and manage programme progress against plan, budget management, risk management, and resource prioritisation and allocation
- Must be familiar with the complexities of real-time pricing and e-trading platforms and be able to align this with the business model. Ability to understand, and manage complex business and application requests and issues as they are raised in a timely manner.
- Proactively set the strategy for PEL Singapore’s. A key goal is to work towards aligning the Emerging Markets technology stack with the global strategic technology stack.
- Liaise with the global PEL team to prioritise and track work to support deliverables to the Singapore businesses.
- Lead, mentor and motivate a team of highly skilled pricing and e-trading developers to provide an outstanding service to the business.
- Oversee issue management and resolution – ensuring all issues are dealt with quickly, communicated correctly and complete resolutions are investigated.
- Be able to effectively manage an outage and work with team resources globally to troubleshoot and resolve the outage to completion and communicate with up/downstream IT partners and the business.
- Act as a Key participant in application releases including testing, release procedures, liaison with development, infrastructure and user sign off.
- Management Reporting – ensuring that management reports are generated and escalation of significant issues occurs.
- Contribute to leadership of the global PEL team.
Requirements
Essential:
- Must be able to Lead, mentor a team of up to 10 to provide an outstanding service to the business
- In depth knowledge of Fixed Income Front Office business (pricing, trading, risk management, hedging strategies, sales)
- In depth knowledge of Fixed Income dealer to client and dealer to dealer electronic trading
- Appreciation of multithreaded real-time low latency Java .Net Developer
- Expert knowledge of Fixed Income trading API’s (Bloomberg, Tradeweb, Eurex etc)
- Knowledge of queuing and conflation design patterns
- Expert knowledge of messaging / network protocols
- Knowledge of Coherence / 29 west / Tibco
- Excellent communication skills
- Takes ownership, pro-active individual with a keen interest to learn the business
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills. Capable of getting the best out of others and working successfully with people with different skills and disciplines at many different levels
