Pricing Architect – Low Latency/Distributed Systems – Hands On Java – OO – £100k recruitment

Industry Leading Financial Client in London requires a Hands On Pricing Architect to design, develop, and support a high throughput low latency real-time distributed price calculation system.

The Finance Pricing team is responsible for the real-time pricing of all the financial instruments offered by the client, covering stocks, indices, FX, commodities, binaries, and options. Processing hundreds of thousands of incoming price ticks per second, the distributed architecture is engineered to deliver low latency price calculations across all markets. There are significant technical challenges in delivering a robust and resilient system while also supporting diverse business requirements.

As part of the Finance Pricing team, you will have responsibility for developing software to enhance and maintain the pricing system. Job responsibilities include the specification, design, implementation and delivery of Pricing functionality according to business requirements and interacting with multiple business groups.

You must have strong experience in:
• Real-time multi-threaded software development experience.
• Experience of the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience and proficiency in design at system and component levels.
• Minimum of 5 years Java (including OOD/OOP) on UNIX/Linux and/or Windows.
• Strong analytical abilities and experiences in algorithm design, software design and
implementation.
 

Additonal experience designing distributed enterprise systems, especially in low latency environments is also required, and knowledge of low latency products and messaging infrastructures (InVision, RFA, RMDS, CORBA, MQ) is highly beneficial.
