PIMCO Pricing Manager

PIMCO seeks to recruit a highly-motivated manager to be a value-added member of a dedicated team that monitors, overseas, and assists in the accurate valuation of $1.3 Billion (as of 6/30/2011) in assets under management. The ideal candidate will facilitate among mid- and long-term projects while supporting and solving daily and weekly tasks regarding valuations. This individual will be required to have basic knowledge and sufficient experience on not only the business flow of calculating the net asset value (NAV) of a fund, but also the role of each involved party has in calculating the NAV of a fund.

The PIMCO Pricing Team is responsible for the operations and management of pricing for PIMCO and its clients. This includes all securities for clients as well as PIMCO's U.S. and non-U.S. Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds and ETF's. The team works closely with internal investment professionals, such as Portfolio Managers, Account Managers, and Certified Public Accountants, as well as service providers, such as sell-side brokers, pricing vendors, custodians, and auditors in order to effectively monitor controls, resolve issues and provide support for daily pricing decisions.

Title: Pricing Manager

Role and Responsibility may include:
• Assist with all aspects of pricing for all securities, including fixed-income, derivatives, and/or equities.
• Clearly communicate, both written and verbal, with direct managers, Portfolio Managers, Account Managers, back office, and external counterparties on a daily basis.
• Research and resolve discrepancies with daily reconciliations.
• Assist with testing and launch of new funds.
• Assist with audit related reporting or research.

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited University.
• CFA or CPA designation is a plus.
• 5-7 years of experience in pricing, operations or ETF's
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Bloomberg experience a plus
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Maintain accuracy and quality in a high fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
