Pricing Specialist recruitment

Leading UK payment business has an outstanding new role for someone with significant pricing experience to join its central London head office.

The business is currently within a period of transition and the pricing function is currently in its early stages of development.

Working within a market that is currently growing 10% annually the business would be described as a true market leader in all aspects. Technologically they are at the forefront of innovation 7 development and from a market infiltration perspective they are strong in the UK and a global leader.

As the pricing specialist working within the newly created pricing team you will be responsible for building developing pricing models from initial principles, develop the pricing strategy and provide governance. Key challenges are around profitability, price sensitivity, risk and scenario analysis and identifying opportunities for price optimization around exiting portfolio clients.

You will ideally have experience within the payments industry but the role could easily suit someone moving from a technology or retail background. Regarding technical ability though you will need to have clear evidence of significant practical experience and expertise in VBA Development, very high level of competency in statistical/analytical programmes e.g. Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL Server and SAS, awareness and ability to use other programming and analytical tool, strong commercial acumen, strong relationship builder - with an ability to interact with sales people and the usual strong interpersonal/communication skill set.
