General Purpose Provides advice and counsel to management and client organizations. Conducts special studies and analyses, develops alternatives, presents recommendations to management and influences management decisions. Researches, analyzes, develops and implements new strategies, programs, and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions. Responsibilities of this position include the following: Economic evaluation of commodity transactions; term, structured and derivative, in support of PacifiCorp's regulated Commercial and Trading (C T) and asset management activities. Develop critical decision making tools formulated in spreadsheets and databases for modeling of physical and financial commodity markets; Identify, analyze and disaggregate each transaction into appropriate risk instruments. Assist in the development and execution of strategies. Act as liaison between origination, risk management, middle office and trading staff. Develop, implement and maintain measurement tools to capture financial benefits and operational issues. Schedule interruptions with counterparties to fulfill the C T power marketing duties to serve retail load and manage its various wholesale agreements.
