For a Primary Care Staff Nurse at HMP Winchester, no two days are the same. A snapshot of some of the daily duties performed, are listed below:

· Carrying out nurse-led clinics
· Administering medication
· Administering immunisations and vaccines
· Responding to medical emergencies
· Enabling patients to improve their health by carrying out health promotion activities

Person Specification:

Interested applicants, should please consider the following requirements prior to applying for this job:

· Band 5 RMN or RGN with a minimum of 12 months post registration experience
· Practical experience of providing high quality care
· Experience of conducting risk assessments
· Keeping accurate electronic records
· Ability to treat patients with dignity and respect
· Maintain patient confidentiality
· Ability to work under pressure
· Good written and verbal skills
· Willingness to undertake further training relevant to clinical area
