Prime Services Market Risk recruitment
This role will sit on a small risk team offering the successful candidate a lot of exposure to high end transactions and an opportunity to get involved in all aspects of prime brokerage risk management from trade approval to answering client queries.
The Candidate:
- Have experience of Prime Services business, and knowledge of client strategies, margin approach legal documentation.
- Demonstrate product knowledge across a range of cash and derivative products. The role focuses primarily on equities but cross-product knowledge will be beneficial.
- Demonstrable ability and confidence to build relationships with the business at all levels
- Strong communication and influencing skills internally within risk, with traders and when presenting to clients.
The Role:
- Assess and implement appropriate margin rates on trades.
- Explain and defend margin rate decisions to the PB business, credit risk and clients.
- Work to develop and enhance the banks risk system.
- Ongoing monitoring of risks taken by the Prime Brokerage business.
