Our client manages a global investment program of $8bn and advises its clients on investments across private equity, hedge funds, real assets and credit. The firm’s client base comprises some of the most sophisticated investors in the world. 

The successful individual will assume a leading role team of talented investment professionals focussing on developing and managing complex investment strategies for knowledgeable and financially literate clients (senior partners of investment firms, entrepreneurs and foundations).  The position will encompass evaluating portfolios and risk profiles of different investment groups to develop bespoke investment strategies spanning various asset classes.  You would operate as a portfolio manager, taking responsibility for one particular asset class but would have significant exposure to other types of investment.

 

In order to apply for this position you will ideally be working within a leading private equity fund (either GP or LP), hedge fund or other investment group.  You will most likely have started your career within a leading global investment bank (in mergers and acquisitions or leveraged finance) or a premier strategy consulting firm.  You will have between 5-10 years of work experience and will have an outstanding academic record with a numerate degree from a top tier institution, coupled with a professional qualification such as an MBA or the CFA (although this is not a prerequisite). 

All candidates will have sound commercial judgement, alongside excellent communication skills, and will be able to demonstrate long term leadership potential.   Strong financial and analytical skills and an excellent academic background are prerequisites.
