Position Description:
SunGard??s solutions for corporate liquidity help businesses facilitate connectivity across the ecosystem of buyers, suppliers, banks, data providers and other stakeholders to increase visibility of cash, improve communication and response time, reduce risk and help drive maximum value from working capital.
We are looking for a Principal or Managing Consultant to join the AvantGard Professional Services team, consulting on implementation projects of our treasury software solutions. As an Accounting specialist you will be brought in to facilitate / manage the more complex accounting engagements, as well as providing an expert resource for colleagues and clients, and resolving accounting specific issues. The successful candidate will engage with both Treasury and Accounting functions within the client??s business, in order to understand their accounting requirements and advise how the system can best be configured to meet those requirements.

In order to operate at this level, you will need to display a thorough understanding of various methods accounting for financial instruments, to include IFRS, but potentially US and residual European GAAPs as well. This will include the provisions for hedge accounting.

Additional Responsibilities:
?¢ Implement other areas of our treasury software solutions, and assist clients to re-engineer their business processes within a treasury context.
?¢ Act as Lead Consultant and / or project manager within Treasury implementation projects
?¢ Mentor and support less experienced consultants, transferring specialist knowledge to other members of the Professional Services team.
?¢ Identify opportunities where additional services beyond the core implementation tasks may be offered, and work closely with your line management to pursue the opportunity.

Position Requirements:
?¢ Significant experience in consulting and/or software application implementations in a Treasury or Banking context.
?¢ In-depth accounting knowledge and related professional skills.
?¢ Perfectly fluent in English.
?¢ Proven experience of Project Management required (change control, fixed price, ??not-to-exceed??, milestone payment projects).
?¢ Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential since you will need to be able to lead workshops.
?¢ Sound understanding of the project lifecycle as well as displaying an appropriate level of technical competence.
?¢ Ability to build and maintain strong client and internal team relationships since - you will work closely with Client Services, Sales and Marketing as well as Professional Services.
?¢ Ability and willingness to take complete ownership of the issue resolution process.
?¢ Ability to multi-task.
?¢ Willingness to deliver to tight timeframes.
