RTCA produces approximately 50M tonnes per annum of export and domestic coal from various mine sites across QLD NSW.  RTCA operates three open cut and one underground operation in central Queensland and three large open cut coal mines in the Hunter Valley of NSW.
The team at RTCA is seeking a Principal Advisor - Water to provide advice and recommendations to existing and new operations on the management of water issues. Reporting directly to the Manager Environmental Services you will be responsible for providing advice to minimise impacts on water resources, improve water related data acquisition and analysis for RTCA sites and projects, review site water management plans and monitoring programs, engage with internal and external stakeholders, set processes to enable sites to comply with internal standards and government regulations and influence the operational stakeholders in adopting your recommendations for water management processes.
 
To be a successful candidate for this exciting new role you will require an extensive amount of experience with water management preferably on a mine site. A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and experience with the OPSIM modelling program are essential for you to be successful in this role. Previous experience within a role where you liaise with government regulatory authorities and influence internal stakeholders to implement recommendations is a must for this vacancy.
