Full Job Description

The role of Principal Auditor will include:
- The Principal Auditor Europe reports to the Principal Audit Manager being in charge for this area in Group Audit, who in turn reports in the Chief Auditor. The Chief Auditor has global responsibility.
- The Principal Auditor will support the Principal Audit Management in the risk assessment, planning, execution and delivery of audits covering this specific businessand will also provide subject matter expertise to the various teams as those teams perform front to back reviews of the various business lines supported by this business.
- We are seeking for an audit professional, who will be capable of responding to any changes in the way the function supports business lines across the core business lines and will add value to the decision-making process. The successful candidate will also support the management of the relationship and in this role is required to pro-actively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues,this businessand respective support areas.
- The candidate will be required to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks involved in this business in accordance with Group Audit`s Methodology and the established risk assessment framework, to contribute to Risk Assessment Profiles- Business Monitoring and overall implementation of Group Audit Methodology and to implement dynamic planning through continuous monitoring

You will have several years professional audit experience, either in a financial institution or a professional practice environment specialising in banking, finance and risk (key focus in investment banking trading and operations).
Excellent understanding of operations processes and controls across product groups, associated risk and industry standards is a pre-requisite. In addition, international experience, coupled with a familiarisation of working within the operational requirements of a global bank. It is a distinct advantage for this person to have knowledge of Credit, Market, IT, Finance and Compliance risks.

The client is a top tier investment bank.

£80000-£90000 plus benefits.

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
