Job title: Principal Civil / Structural Engineer

We are currently working with a leading international engineering and environmental consultancy who are seeking a high calibre Principal Engineer to join their well regarded civil structures division.  The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of high profile projects.

 

Key Skills / Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas;

·         Educated to degree level or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering

·         Chartered Engineer with ICE or IStuctE

·         Design of buried heavy civil structures, highway structures and bridges

·         Working knowledge of Eurocodes

·         Experience in the use of structural analysis and design software

·         Experience in the design and analysis of foundations / piling

·         Working knowledge related to soil structure interaction

·         Proven experience of client liaison (e.g meetings, presentations) and key account management/ relationship development

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate and technically review reports

·         Experience of working with, and managing project teams and where necessary acting as lead designer

·         Ability to work to deadlines, within budget and to programme, to control costs and to effectively manage resources and change control

·         Knowledge of the TfL and Network Rail approvals procedures would be an advantage

·         Proven ability to actively seek new commercial opportunities would be an advantage
