Principal Consultant - Based in Shanghai

China, Hong Kong and Taiwan Market

The Opportunity

Algorithmic trading solutions company expanding into North Asia market and is looking for a senior Principal consultant with 10-15 years of working experience with the last 5 years in capital markets to grow the service delivery team in Shanghai.

Reports directly to Director of Professional Services -Asia.

Responsibilities

-Ensure that business requirements of customers and prospects are clearly understood, translated, and architected

-Be an evangelist and promotes the company's products/solutions in customer accounts

-Build and deliver custom demonstrations and proofs of concepts

-Collaborate with customers, partners and internal team members to deliver solutions based on customer requirements

-Oversees the post-sales life cycle of the project including delivery, go live, and any opportunities to up-sell.

-Engage and strategize with Sales Managers and Presale team members as required in sales situation

-Mentor identified team members in terms of the technology and Capital Market know-how

(algorithmic trading, market surveillance etc) in order for them to deliver projects successfully on their own

-Be a team player, learn and share experiences (e.g creating repeatable project-ware from customer engagements)

-Understand the diversified needs of the region and be prepared to travel significantly (30 to 50%) within China, HK and Taiwan as required

Requirements

-10-15 years of Java and C++ development (involved in Multithreading and low latency trading projects)

-Good understanding of technologies including XML and RDBMS systems

-Has 2-3 years experience in algorithmic trading or market surveillance project implementations

-Has capital market experience in the past 5 years.

- Must be mandarin speaking

-Confident, talented, independent and highly motivated with the ability to take key responsibility for

driving and managing the more technical parts of sales campaigns

-Ability to operate in smaller, more aggressive company culture that does not have clearly defined job responsibilities typically found in large organizations.

-Can think independently or adopt to different project situations

-Nice personality and prefer to engage customers instead of working alone

-Highly technical for custom demos, proof of concepts, and solution delivery on his/her own

-Have the ability to position a product or emphasize our products main selling points

-Able to translate business needs to technical requirements to help sales

-A team player, able to learn and share experiences with other members of the  presales and consultancy team.

-BS in Computing, Engineering or related field

-Great attitude and self starter

-Must have excellent oral and written presentation and interpersonal communication skills

-Must be able to work as part of a delivery team yet able to work independently on complex technical
