Principal Consultant Testing Job in Dublin, Dublin Ireland

Responsibilities Using own experiences and knowledge to inform, challenge and define scope of work;

Managing high risk test projects with significant change factors and providing expert advice on design and implementation;

Leading the design of the withdrawal process, reviewing and predicting any shortfalls and addressing them before the end of the project and ensuring assets are updated in relevant repositories;

Setting standards and techniques for test environments, advising on application and ensuring compliance;

Performing time/cost/risk benefit analysis;

Setting up and maintaining test environments across multiple platforms and operating systems;

Using project planning tools and milestones on client projects;

Managing stakeholder expectations, overall deliverables and overseeing contractual terms of projects;

Regularly identifying sales opportunities within existing clients, working with sales and PS to add value to proposals and opportunities;

Working with clients to determine handover processes to ensure skills transfer and knowledge capture;

Managing complex teams of 20 across disciplines and functions (including team dynamics, conflicts and concerns within these);

Managing development and personal growth of self and team in balance with company objectives;

Providing input and recommendations for promotions, salary changes and development plans for their staff;

Managing disciplinary issues within team with the support of HR;

Conducting formal reviews including end of probation, 6 monthly, PGP's and end of year;

Conducting interviews for the group when required and providing timely feedback to HR;

Working with HR to improve training and performance management processes and identifying consultants for programmes;

Achieving company and individual utilisation targets;

Identifying retention issues, providing action plans and solutions to reduce staff turnover amongst their group;

Providing direction and expanding delivery capability within.

Staff/equipment/budget Management of large teams of consultants at client sites;
Acting as coach for SC1 grade and lower
Own expense budget - in line with expense guidelines.
