Principal Data Architect - Insurance, Financial Services, Consultancy
Our client is a global insurer seeking an individual who can create an Information Management Practice. This is a Principal Architect / Principal Data Architect role:
- Recruiting a small core team
- Creating an agenda and getting Executive buy-in and funding for it
- Building a platform to exploit data
- Creating the processes and practice that allow data to be exploited
- Getting the project and operational support necessary to ensure success
- Making data count in a way that is recognised at senior levels within the organisation
Core competencies and Experience could include:
- Consultancy background (not essential but likely to provide good fit here)
- Making a compelling case
- Stakeholder engagement over a long programme
- Creating and maintaining working teams, with a strong emphasis on virtual teams brought together by common interests not line management
- An understanding of the value of Information to a large consumer organisation
- The ability to cover all aspects of Information Management (Governance, Build, Data Management, MDM, Data Quality, Data Architecture)
- Managing the breadth and complexity
- Getting such a programme imbedded in a company's way of working
- Demonstrating experience and pragmatism, and a drive for results
