We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer- Project Management in our Nuclear Services product line. Westinghouse Nuclear Services provides the technology solutions and services that keep operating nuclear plants operating… safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.

The Principal Engineer- Project Management is responsible for project management, coordination and integration of all customer support. The individual would serve as the focal point with utility personnel, Customer Project Managers, sub-suppliers and the Risk Applications and Methods product line groups. Responsibilities include:

1. Act as the project manager for customer, innovation and PWR Owners Group PRA projects

2. Participate in formulation and implementation of moderately complex project plans to achieve Company objectives.

3. Assist senior project management in executing Westinghouse's performance to contract commitments.

• Serve as Company representative to customers, sub-suppliers and Westinghouse business units.

• Interpret and transmit contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups.

• Develop and maintain project summary level schedules. Provide schedule reporting for customer progress reports.

• Co-ordinate and ensure project work is delivered on schedule and within budget.

4. Work with Resource and Product Management to establish and maintain effective project organization.

5. Integrate project's objectives and actions through participation with other product groups in matters of common concern. Promote projects-wide teamwork and effective communication.

6. Assist Product Management in the development of bid proposal documentation and product line offerings

7. For international projects, work in cooperation with local Westinghouse in-country representation

8. The Principal Engineer-Project Management also applies the Project Manager's Requirements and Guidelines (PMRG) in the execution of the assigned tasks and projects.

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

-Bachelor's degree in engineering or recognized equivalent.

-At least 7 years of related engineering and project leadership/management experience is required.

-Demonstrated successful project management skills in effectively executing significantly complex projects/programs, including complex contract negotiations.

-Strong communication skills and a proven history of managing and leading teams effectively and interfacing with multiple functional groups. Experience with developing/implementing new business opportunities.

- PM-1 or PM-2 level as described in the Project Management Development Program (PMDP) is strongly desired.

-A general engineering background in thermal-hydraulics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and nuclear operations, and a good knowledge of the functional capabilities of the interfacing engineering organizations.
