Principal – Equity Research (Buy Side) recruitment
Overview:
My client has developed a substantial AUM with a small but effective team and now requires an individual with extensive equity research experience to help support the continued growth of the business. The role will potentially manage a few subordinates and focus on conducting equity research across multiple sectors and may also have portfolio management responsibility for the right individual, although we are not looking for a portfolio manager who does not research.
The successful candidate will be able to build a financial model from scratch and is likely to be CFA qualified or at an advanced stage with their studies i.e. Level 3.
Sector exposure across consumer, telecom, industrial or petrochemical will be very useful.
You must have a solid understanding of how long term investments work as they typically have an 18 month turnaround period for their investments.
You will have 7/8 years experience and a good progressive equity research career (buy side preferable).
Sukuk experience will be useful, although not essential.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential, as is a level of maturity and passion for the job.
GCC exposure is a must within your career and ideally focussed across multiple countries or on major markets such as Saudi and the UAE.
