Principal Financial Analyst

Job Description : An opportunity to work in a dynamic business area with the potential to drive successful set up and execution of programs from proposal development to contract closure as part of the Trident Finance team. This role will be responsible for providing EVMS guidance to programs, and to standardize and coordinate weekly and monthly for the program. Facilitate successful deployment of the EVMS toolset, and will analyze, identify and establish best approach for and reporting/analysis of the Trident programs during setup and execution. The individual will work closely with multifunctional and cross business teams including partnering with the Trident Finance Manager, the program business managers, the Space Systems EVMS focal point, and the SAS Business Process Tools team. Individual will conduct EVMS process and tool training classes and workshops. This position will define and drive tool improvement initiatives. and recognize quality variance analysis that includes cause, impact and corrective action substantiation This Individual will also provide acquisition leadership with the Program Management Office in support of cost proposal preparation and pricing as required by the program. These acquisition r esponsibilities include the review and validation of cost estimating and pricing functions, and the development and analysis of profit margin potential and negotiation parameters. This includes coordination of the cost volume for new business activities, teaming with Program Management properly planning the proposal response timeline, strategize and execute optimum proposal development and the support to audits, fact-finding and negotiations, as required. Required Skills: · (Bachelor?s Degree in Finance or related discipline with 6+ years related work experience) OR (Master?s Degree in Finance or related discipline with 4+ years related work experience) Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) R6 sigma or equivalent tools and techniques EVMS experience including variance analysis and reporting, compliance to a validated EVM system and reporting externally to customers and interfacing on those reports Project, IPM/MPM, SAP R3, BW, PC Pricing, wInsight Program Office or Functional Experience Ability to interface on a regular basis with personnel of varying disciplines as a recognized finance team subject matter expert (e.g., program management, technical, contracts Desired Skills: Good communication skills, ability to work in a team environment Be able to meet critical deadlines Ability to gracefully handle difficult customers, attention to details and time management Ability to deal with company sensitive subjects with confidentiality Be proactive, creative, and possess problem identification, problem solving and decision making skills Have strong analytical skills Ability to quickly learn and utilize program management systems and tools (Microsoft Projects, Micro frame Program Manager (MPM) software and SAP Business systems), and independently create and analyze cost data.
