Principal Investigator, Decision Aids and Planning (TS ACDS) Job in Burlington 01803, Massachusetts US

BAE System's Technology Solutions (http://www.eis.na.baesystems.com/ts/index.htm) Advanced Computing and Decisions Systems (ACDS) in Burlington, MA is looking for a Principal Investigator to help conceptualize and develop advanced C2 and decision support applications for a range of DoD customers, including DARPA and AFRL. Our current projects include modeling and planning for integrated C2 across air, cyber, and space domains; automated wargaming and analysis of complex courses of action for Army commanders; and rapid strategy planning tools leveraging institutional knowledge via case-based reasoning.

You will collaborate with industry and university research groups and lead multi-disciplinary and multi-organizational teams in execution of complex software platform development projects. As a Principal Investigator you will shape significant research agendas, communicate value propositions and goals to customers and partners, develop technology product lines and prepare proposals to continue development of ambitious leading edge capabilities.

BAE Systems Technology Solutions ACDS is an entrepreneurial organization that focuses on research and development in computer science and artificial intelligence. We deliver state-of-the-art decision support and system analysis design and integration technologies for many customers in the defense and intelligence communities. Required Skills:
Requires that you have experience in C2 applications and one or more of the following technical areas:
- artificial intelligence (planning and scheduling algorithms, linear programming, heuristic search techniques, constraint programming, etc.)
- mixed-initiative systems
- modeling and simulation (discrete event, agent-based, system dynamics, etc.)
- symbolic and/or probabilistic reasoning
- knowledge representation
- qualitative reasoning
- optimization techniques
- programming language and tools for the above areas.

Qualified candidates will have:
- doctoral level education (strongly preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or other related Computer Engineering field
- at least 7 years of research / advanced development experience
- a successful record of proposal authoring
- project leadership/management experience.

Writing and presentation skills are a must, as is the desire to develop research programs via proposal writing and other marketing efforts with research funding agencies such as DARPA.
