The London branch of Wells Fargo, based in Fenchurch Street, has approximately 300 Team Members.

Principal Investing London manages a portfolio of asset-backed, corporate, and financial institution securities and loans.  Specific areas of new investment focus include UK RMBS and covered bonds. 

Responsibilities:

The associate will have responsibility for monitoring existing ABS investments, identifying asset classes and individual assets for new investment and preparing the related analyses.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Ideally degree educated and excellent academic background.

• Significant experience with asset-backed securities and covered bonds, ideally European and US.

• Deep understanding of European financial institutions.

• High level of proficiency with financial models and related analytic tools (e.g., Intex, ABSNet) as well as excel and powerpoint.

• Strong written and communication skills.

• Ability to work in an unstructured environment as part of a team and, occasionally, under significant time constraints and other pressures.
