This well renowned company is currently expanding their minerals division and is looking for a proactive Principal Mechanical Engineer – start with a clean slate and a focused, supportive team. This key position within the organisation will see the right candidate working closely with some of the best in the business.
Here you will be leading a team to produce design deliverables suitable for clients in a costly and time effective way, always maintaining a focus on safety and Australian codes and standards. In this sense it will require good management skills of personnel and resources as well as your solid internal and external liaison skills, in regards to multi – disciplined engineers, managers and clients.
We are looking for someone with:
- A Bachelor degree (Mechanical Engineering)
- At least 10 years experience in mining and/ or heavy industry design.
- Over 5 years experience in a senior role.
- Membership or eligibility for Institution of Engineers Australia.
- A good team ethos and strong computer and report writing expertise.

Ideally looking for someone who wants a permanent role, but happy to consider you a “try before you buy” contractual rate.
