Principal Procurement Speciali

Responsible for sourcing electrical and / or mechanical commodities. Support the Sourcing team by performing strong analytical and research capabilities throughout the strategic sourcing process. Conduct self-directed research, market trend evaluation, and gain effective commodity expertise. Influence the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization, and their implementation. Foster and maintain open communications with the supply base, Raytheon Program Areas, and Raytheon Business and Corporate Supply Chain. Develop negotiation strategies and implement long-term agreements to improve efficiency and reduce cost. Responsibilities will include: Interface with Engineering and Material Program Managers across multiple programs to gather commodity business requirements Develop or assist in consolidating forecasts, developing Statements of Work, and creating RFI/RFP documentation Participate in or lead supplier assessments and best value source selections Support the creation of Long-term agreement approaches Support Supplier negotiation process to include negotiation preparation information and tools, presentation materials, analysis, and participation in the negotiation process with suppliers Continuously assess market conditions by monitoring supply market on an ongoing basis Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 6 years of relevant sourcing experience Commodity management experience across multiple commodities Database management experience Experience developing solutions to problems with unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation The ability to thrive within a cross-functional team and execute within an analytic and strategic environment Proficient in Microsoft office tools Additional Desired Skills: Experience with Government contracts, processes procedures Technical experience with commodities Experience with eSourcing Techniques (ie.
