Principal Program Manager (Technical)
GENERAL SUMMARY Manages multiple highly complex technical programs, projects and initiatives affecting area goals and objectives. Drives the creation and management of cross-functional leadership teams. Oversees multiple cross-functional teams, defining priorities and allocation of resources. Maintains an awareness of industry trends, business conditions, and internal processes and practices to ensure the success of complex programs and initiatives. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees multiple cross-functional leadership teams, inclusive of EMC's core business units, software divisions and and/or third party partners. Develops, defines and manages execution of critical program elements. Leads cross-functional priority setting and resource allocation relative to each program, project and/or initiative. Ensures issues are identified and resolved. Develops and maintains multiple highly complex technical programs that include diverse practices, services and/or initiatives. Facilitates, coordinates and leads cross-functional teams to complete multiple complex technical program and/or project plans, tasks and milestones. Ensures completion of all specific deliverables and tactical initiatives required to support initiatives. May facilitate partner alignment and maintain multiple partner relationships with cross-functional EMC groups to ensure successful completion of program deliverables. Communicates multiple program initiatives, messaging, and status across EMC's core business units, software divisions and/or third party partners. Develops and manages communication and coordination of cross functional teams across all areas. Defines program roadmaps, status, development issues and success metrics and ensures effective reporting and communication Influences and manages continuous improvement of product/solution development lifecycle process, practices and initiatives.
