Principal Software Engineer - .NET, C#, WPF, Quant
Fidelity has an exciting opportunity for a full-time .NET UI developer in our Fixed Income Money Market Risk project team. This team develops and maintains a suite of applications and tools to produce analytics and portfolio management services to the Fixed Income investment business.This individual will work closely with quantitative research analysts, portfolio managers, and traders to design and develop applications for analyzing and managing portfolio risk. Success criteria for this position include solid technical skills, fixed income domain knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. This is a principal-level position based in Merrimack, NH.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support complex enterprise applications.
- Rapidly develop enterprise software based on whitepapers, prototypes, or verbal requirements.
- Collaborate closely with business partners in all phases of development to meet project goals.
- Work across peer groups to resolve and understand complex technical/design issues.
Education and Experience
- 5+ years .NET development experience (2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0).
- Rich .NET client development experience with WPF, Windows Forms.
- Strong UI design experience.
- Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
- Strong OO familiarity/experience.
- Familiarity/experience with design patterns such as MVC, MVP, MVVM, etc.
- Relational database (Oracle, PL/SQL) development experience a plus.
- BS or higher education in computer science or equivalent
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to interface with business partners and domain experts to analyze and understand complex requirements.
- Mastery of object-oriented design and programming methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with users, peers, management, QA, database and support staff to drive project delivery and issue resolution on time.
