This position will be required to design, develop, integrate, test and field the latest state-of-the art ground based intelligence processing and data distribution system within an enterprise. This position will also work with Distributed Common Ground System -Army (DCGS-A) and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Program of Record (PORs) to define metadata requirements, harmonize existing schemas with approved DCGS metadata schemas, and harmonize future schemas with metadata efforts led by DIA, NSA, and NGA.
- Supports Army metadata schema submissions to the DIB Management Office (DMO) including review of the Data Asset Controlled Vocabulary, Data Asset Taxonomy, DDMS Core Crosswalk, Data Element Dictionary and XML Schemas for completeness, valid XML formatting, and compliance with the DCGS Metadata Schema Guidelines.
- Collects Data Asset Inventory and Data Visibility Plan from Army programs to submit to the DMO and providing input for the DMO's DCGS Discovery Service Controlled Vocabulary and Taxonomy. Other duties will be defined as necessary to work with other DCGS programs and the DMO to harmonize metadata and coordinate across the ISR domain.
- Serves as the system engineer expert in performing system and subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, subsystem and system integration, and testing .
- Participates in software requirement and acceptance reviews, preliminary and critical design, and integration readiness reviews.
- May act as a technical lead for pre-proposal, proposal, and existing program efforts.
- Involvement in business development includes briefing customers on company capabilities and supports the program management office with technical expertise.
- Represents the organization as the prime customer contact on contracts or projects.
Requires Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and twelve to fifteen years of related experience.

- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Experience with any one of the following software technologies: C, C++, and Java as well as distributed computing technologies such as Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, etc. is required.
- Working knowledge of the latest software technologies in XML and/or data engineering.
- Experience in Service Oriented Architecture development and integration in an enterprise is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of a military operational environment is desired, but not necessary.
