Principal Solutions Analyst – Melbourne, Australia recruitment

The Principal Solutions Analyst will coordinate the team of global Solution Analyst resources in the delivery of approved projects from business requirements definition phase through to release.

The Solutions Analyst team works at the `front end’ of the Software Development Lifecycle’ (SDLC) ensuring that business requirements provided to development are complete accurate and reflect market requirements.  

The quality of the business requirements that enter the development process is the key focus of the role. Success is ultimately measured by the quality and accuracy of the requirements that feed into the SDLC, increasing speed to market and minimising rework.

This newly developed position reports to the Global Product Manager. Managing a global team of solution analysts you will be required to:

• Coordinate global effort on sourcing business requirements with priorities set with the Global Product Manager.

• Ensure that there is a smooth transition from desired commercial outcomes into quality end product.

• Work with external clients to form a qualitative understanding of business requirements which can then be translated into clear development plans.

• Act as a liaison agent between clients (Australia) and the Solutions group.

• Understand business strategy and have the ability to clearly articulate business needs so that development are equipped with information to allow them to accurately build appropriate solutions.

• Draw on industry standards, tools and procedures to ensure the timely and quality focused delivery of Business Requirements by the solutions analyst team.

• Become a key decision-maker and client interface for Australian clients as well as mentor for Solution Analyst’s globally.

• Be the first point of escalation for development issues to Solutions team in Melbourne.

• Monitor the quality of requirements entering the development department.

Superior interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of business is essential for success in this role. Due to the global nature of our business you will be required to work with teams in different time zones and there may be a need for limited international travel.
