Principle Accounting Advisor
This NSW Government organisation is committed to providing rigorous, high quality and compelling financial advice to the Government agencies promoting strong, sustainable growth in the NSW economy. This role is to be responsible for the main liaison with NSW Government clusters and agencies to oversee budget performance and microeconomic reform contributing to the efficient and effective allocation of the State’s resources.
As an accounting specialist you will work with the agencies to ensure the most appropriate accounting policies are applied to large capital infrastructure projects. Using your high level stakeholder management skills you will advise on technical accounting matters which mitigate against any risk related matter. Drawing from your large complex project experience you will provide technical support for review of finances and projects to establish improved systems and accountabilities.
The ideal candidate will be CA/CPA qualified and have a high level of professional accounting skills, project management experience with the ability to identify risks specifically within the Transport sector or within a large complex road and rail network construction business.
