Prison Nurse Roles

I am recruiting for a dynamic and enthusiastic prison nurse or general nurse with relevant experience to join Hays and work within the Leeds and Wetherby Prisons on either a part time or full time basis. A minimum of 2 days a week is required.

The ideal candidate will have AE or Prison experience. An up to date NMC registration, open to working within a secure/custodial environment, be motivated and show innovative. You will also have the desire to undertake further training as appropriate.

Main Responsibilities will be:

• Running a variety of clinics across the prisoner population
• Managing and supporting junior staff
• Ensuring the healthcare regime is delivered in a safe and timely manner with the highest possible clinical standards
• Using your personality to promote healthy living and encourage prisoners to address their health needs
• Link and work closely with other agencies to ensure holistic shared care planning for prisoners
• Involvement in substance abuse, misuse and dependency clinics - including interventions where necessary
